ARCHITECTURE MODELS

The various models for the MELBOURNE ART CENTER
I still think that the  cardboard/ metal model stands for itself when compared with the CG presentation renderings .
'Free' lighting and  no fussing with shaders (not that I would have cared back then)  - and quick fixes with superglue !!! Something the 'proper' architects were a bit suspicious off: "If it won't work in the model, you'll have serious trouble on site!"
Maybe....but those models were never meant to go straight to the builder and it's much more fun to iterate quick and get an idea across at the concept stage.

The architecture design course 'KNOWING PAVILION' was both set in Wilson Botanic Park in Berwick as well as the docklands ( before it got developed), both in Melbourne.
It was a great quick turnover of ideas, simple models and sketches.
