CHEMICUS




In Berlin I worked at bvm (now Morgen Studios) on several edutainment titles. 
Amongst those were the adventure games Chemicus I and II.

Below are a few pages from my sketchbook. I worked a lot with layering photocopies, prints and trace paper (analogue Photoshop style;-)
Can't wait to start another visual diary, they have a feel and texture to them that is even more precious since I work in computer graphics.

Chemicus

This was a storyboard for the intro sequence for CHEMICUS II.
I just had a couple of hours to put something down and  hand it over to our outsource company in Bulgaria.
They did a great job considering the time we had. Our production cycles were around a year (and that included pre-production....).
Very different  to the epic development of 'EIGHT DAYS'...



Some early concept design for CHEMICUS. 
I guess I was very 'inspired'by Lebbeus Woods - but the client preferred a different style.
