PHOTO TRANSFERS

This is a booklet I did at the RMIT photography department. It contains work I did in architecture, interior design and photography using polaroid transfers on different media.

These pictures are part of the same photo project for which I took the polaroids I posted earlier.
The design was based on K.W. Jeter's novel 'Replicant Night'
The 'original' screenshots are under MEDIA FORUM MELBOURNE

The following pictures are the only remains of a presentation for a  slide projection course run by Melbourne Artist Ian de Gruchy
My colleague Tom and I were spending nights at the AV suite , assembling, programming and setting up all the slide projectors and it was a great success when we presented it .
....but we didn't record any footage and the only thing that remains are the slides and these photos, which are kind of pretty, but can't convey our idea anymore.

POLAROIDS

So much stuff to be found , when looking through old portfolios.
This was the genious attempt back in the "early days of CGI" -
taking polaroids of the screen...obviously a sure way to suck the colours out of renderings.
This work was part of my "real fake" course at RMIT
I changed from architecture to interior design  (and later to video games).
It was my first contact with the digital world and mixing traditional media with CGI was not cutting edge, but sometimes just born out of desperation.

Even though a lot of work I did 10 years ago, seems to have a certain naivety to it, I still feel the same inspiration and curiosity and at times I am bit envious how playful I used the computer back then.
